USI West Coast Insulation, with locations in Tampa and Fort Myers, Florida, is celebrating 60 years in business this year.

We asked one of our long time customers from Fort Myers, FL, Glenn Cribbett, (Project Manager, Royal Corinthian Homes Inc.) what he thought about working with USI for so many years and here’s what he had to say:

The quality team of insulation and specialty building products installers at USI West Coast Insulation have worked on countless job sites since 1957 and have served the Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties through this whole time. One of the branch’s Sales Reps, Kathy Henning, has worked for West Coast for 21 years. We asked her what it’s been like serving builders, like Royal Corinthian Homes, in the greater Fort Myers area for so long and here’s what she had to say:

“I am on my 21st year with West Coast Insulation and what a ride it has been! There has been good and bad years but we are like the energizer bunny – we just keep on running. My success is due to a wonderful support staff from production through accounting and management. On my side, the most important discipline is communication. I tell my customers ‘You won’t always like what I have to say but at least you can plan tasks going forward.’ I have a great group of very loyal customers that have become friends over the years and are deserving of the best service I can give them. We here at West Coast Insulation are one large family and many employees have been here longer than I have which says a lot for this company. I love this company!!!”

Some notable construction projects the team has worked on include the Boston Red Sox Stadium (Insulation Rigid Board EIFS and Fiberglass Batts) and the Children’s Museum of Naples (Insulation and Acoustical Ceilings). John Wester, Insulation Production Manager, USI West Coast Insulation, started with West Coast back in 1968! It was his job during Summer vacation from college. We asked him what the experience has been like:

“I worked for the original owners, Morris and Jean Plummer. It was the best job for a kid just starting out. After finishing my education, I went to other things. After about ten years of working at two other jobs, l decided to return to West Coast Insulation. I worked myself from installer to Insulation Production Manager. I am in my 30th year and having a great experience!!”
